Players ages 6 and up are welcome. Bring your own paddle but we also have several practice paddles if you are not sure if you like the sport and don’t want to buy one yet. We will use a table tennis robot and multiple ball training system to speed up skill development. We will not play any matches – only practice.
The Beginner class would teach proper paddle grip, stance, footwork, basic forehand and backhand strokes, basic forehand serve.
The Match Play class will get more into various serves and serve returns, forehand and backhand push. If you want to try your newly gained skills come to our regular open play times on Wednesday or Friday or play at a club near you.
The adult class will be mostly like the beginner class but it depends on what the skill set will be.
If you are looking for a good book which explains the techniques, I would recommend the following book – “Table Tennis Steps to Success“. It’s the best book on table tennis that I know of. Purchase this book if you would like to study the game of table tennis.
