The 2013 Aurora Fall Open held on October 6th, 2013 attracted 103 players. This made it the largest tournament to date held at the Eola Community Center. The venue preparation took about 4 hours on Saturday evening with the help of the following volunteers:

We had 12 tables for match play and 2 for warm up. We assembled additional 70 barriers and found that we need 8 more to have pretty much fully barriered courts. We measured the distances between tables so they are exactly 12 feet to meet the minimum distance required by the new USATT tournament sanctioning rules. We also measured the light strength over each table and got above 330 lux with the middle 4 tables reaching 430 lux. You can see the venue picture below. The park district bought new chairs so we could move the 3 bleachers into one area so spectators have good view of the matches and still have 70 comfortable chairs for players. The tournament started on time with events at 9 am, 11 am, 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm. The last match ended at 9:04 pm. Take down of the equipment and cleanup took another 1:30.
